Robin Wood - Our Forest School

‘The best classroom and the richest cupboard are roofed only by the sky’ Margaret Mcmillan

Forest School is an inspirational process that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop  confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees.                                                                           (Forest School Association)

At our forest school we are passionate about getting children outside, using natural materials to learn through play while respecting nature and the  environment. Children are given the opportunity to develop and experience real life skills by using real tools, lighting fires and taking risks in a safe environment.

'Robin Wood' has been established in the north east area of our School Field off Coucy Close, with easy access from the school building.  Our sessions are run by fully trained experienced school staff.

‘There is no bad weather, only bad clothes’

Having fun, getting muddy and experiencing  the outdoor environment is all part of  the Forest School adventure.  It will take place in all weathers  except in unsafe conditions (e.g. high winds).  So it is important the children bring in clothes to keep themselves warm and dry.
