New General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force on 25 May 2018. These regulations affect all organisations and businesses that use and store any personal information.
The school has been actively working to ensure we are compliant with the new regulations in the way that we obtain, use, store and destroy personal data for pupils, parents, staff, volunteers and governors. As a school, under these regulations, we have a lawful basis for most of the data we hold and use, i.e. the data is used to help us deliver education for the children and to manage their wellbeing whilst in our care. Other data that we will have obtained will have been done so through gaining your consent.
In light of the new regulations we have updated our Pupil/Parent Privacy Notice and our Data Protection policy, both of which can be found below.
In addition, we have updated all of our consent forms with the following paragraph, which we need to make you aware of:
Consent may be withdrawn at any time – please contact the school office to make changes or withdraw consent. Further information regarding consent and data subject rights can be found within our Privacy Notice which can be obtained from the school office or on the Admissions page of the school website www.hitchamsframlingham.org.uk
Any questions regarding our Privacy Notice or Data Protection Policy should be directed to Sian Durrant, Data Protection Service Lead, Schools’ Choice, Tel: 01473 260741 email: firstname.lastname@example.org
